Default 69 exhaust tips

Silly question, but how far past the rear valance should the chrome tips stick out on a 69?

Thanks, Mike

Mine stick out about 3/4" if that's any help.

The 68/69 NCRS judging guide only stipulates the total length as 10 5/8" including the 2 1/2" angle cut at the tip. Mine stick out approximately 2 1/2" from the valance where the chrome trim is at the top and almost 5 inches from the bottom of the trim. Seems to look correct. These pics aren't that great. Mine is a 68.

Hi Mike,
Here's the tip on a quite 'untouched' 69.
?
Regards,
Alan

I just put new Corvette Central system on girlfriends car, they looked like they stuck out kind of far, but they look about the same as the pics in the previous two posts. Great info, thanks!
Very nice exhaust system, by the way, thanks for the help I got on here couple of weeks ago.
Mike

My 69 AIM (UPC 8 Sheet A4) shows a detail of the exhaust tip and the bezel. No dimension given, but a Revision 1 is noted effective 12-31-68 which states ".75 dimension removed". Looks like there may have been a spec early on. Toobroke: how early is yours?
