Default Knock sensor

I'm having a hard time finding out where to connect it. The only hole I found is between two spark plugs in the passenger side. Except the hole is too big for the sensor. I jacked it up and can't find any place in the block it should go. Need help!

The knock sensor screws into the 1/4" NPT hole in the center of the block just above the oil pan rail and the hole you're looking at in the head is where the auxiliary fan switch screws in.

I already have the fan switch sensor plugged in just above the water pump. I have looked everywhere for a hole on the passenger side block as the manual shows it should be there but that is the ONLY hole I see.

Are you sure it's the original motor?

Maybe the previous owner installed the wrong block under the Crossfire manifold. That possibility opens up a few questions I can't answer, like whether the block can be drilled and tapped for the sensor, or whether the CF will run OK without it being installed. Sorry I can't be more help. Hope you find a way to make it work.

I found the hole for the knock sensor. It was plugged and I didn't see it. But a temp sensor goes there and it doesn't say what kind. I just know it had a blue and black wire going to it. Anyone know what kind and for what.

The knock sensor goes in one of the block drain holes. In this picture, it's the "white" spot beside the pan rail at about the middle of the pan rail. Being a drain hole, most machine shops install a plug of some kind into the hole so you have to remove the plug before you can install the sensor.

Here is a picture of one installed on a block.

The picture you posted is in the head and it's open to the coolant passages. You either need a sensor or a plug in that hole or you'll have a big leak when you try to add the coolant.

The last picture you posted is the port for the aux fan temp sensor, it is the control for the aux fan in front of the engine fan, when the engine temp exceeds around about 214*, it turns the fan on and off @ about 201*. Black wire to ground, blue wire provides the ground for the aux fan. That sensor is not cheap.
