Default Starter wire question

Ok I have no idea what these are. I got a black wire with a connector with a hole in the middle that is obviously my black starter cable but it splices into one of these wires and the other is free hanging. What is this??

The one off my middle finger splices off the black wire

that looks like the positive cable that is supposed to be connected to the starter solenoid, did it break off the solenoid?

I'm talking about those two wires in my hands. Here is a better pic. One looks like a ground but it splices off to one of those connectors and the other one is just free hanging.

On the older vettes there was a ground wire that went down with the starter wires and went under one of the transmission bolts

OH, never-mind I thought that black one with the larger eyelet was one you were asking about.

It is. I know it's a ground wire but I'm trying to figure out why it is spliced and has that connector on it and also why there is that blue one too for?

That black wire is a ground, goes on a bellhousing bolt , that other wire spliced in is not OEM.. theres no blade terminals on solenoid .. Must be for some aftermarket item..maybe ground for blower motor

1982. I finally figure out what that blue and black wires are. It's for a temp switch. Does anyone have a pic of what it should look like?
