Default Another Paint Code Question

I am buying a 78 Silver Anniversary. My books say the paint is 13/07. The trim code plate on the vehicle says 13L.

If L stood for lower that would not make since to me as the lower color is Charcoal. The car was painted about two years ago. I am wondering if it is a true Siver Anniversary.

Help me with this L designation, please
Thanks

The car for sale is a regular production 78 and was painted silver (13L) at St. Louis. It did not come with B2Z Silver Anniversary paint or the SA options package.

All 78s were 25th Anniversary models. It's easy to confuse 25th Anniversary with "Silver Anniversary" and, as you suspect, easy to add the darker silver and create a Silver Anniversary two tone scheme.

All 78's came with the "25th Anniversary" emblems on the nose and gas door, as well as the horn button. The B2Z "Silver Anniversary" option included two-tone silver over charcoal gray paint, painted sport mirrors and aluminum wheels.

The only way to identify a B2Z 78, is the trim tag. The paint code for a Silver Anniversary appears on the trim tag as 13U 07M. Solid colored Corvettes have the paint code followed by an "L", while on two-tone Corvettes the primary color code is followed by a "U", and the lower accent color was coded with an "M".

Your 78, with the paint code 13L, left St. Louis painted solid silver.
