Default New rear panel?

Just put Hooker side pipes on my 71, who should I order the panel from, or does it matter?

Hi 08,
I'd say you can shop the vendors for the best price.
Also, it's likely that BOTH the rear valance panel you buy, and the area where the exhaust bezels were removed from the quarter panels that the the panel is 'supposed' to fill, may require a bit of fiberglass work before you paint.
It will depend on how well you want the valance panel to fit.
Regards,
Alan

My reply is based on thinking you're asking about the valance panel with the 'ears' that fill the gap left in the quarter panels.

Default Valance

You can find side pipe valance's on Ebay or in the parts section. Its no to hard to make the needed flanges to connect the valance to the quarter panel. Then some small glass work and paint.
Here I 'll show you!

When you get the valance, prep it and make glass molds. Then reverse the mold and attach to the car. Some VPA and you are done.
Good Luck, it all depends how much work you can do.

I am in the process of replacing mine. I got my panel from ACI. It is not a direct bolt on,you will have it on and off 50 times to get it to fit perfect.None of the holes will be drilled when you get it. Start with the center bolts under the license plate and then fit the sides. Leave the top bolts under the bumper for last. Definitely get everything fit before painting.Hopefully I'll get mine finished today.
