Default TT steering horn emblem

I have just purchased a new horn emblem and button for my 79 with tt steering but cannot figure out how to install it. The old one was glued and screwd in with giant washers by previous owner after it broke. Glue everywhere. Build manual does not show. Any ideas? Thanks. <br >

If I understand this, you will need to place the new horn emblem over the 3 studs and then take a center punch larger than the studs and bend the ends over. Place a soft towel under the hub so it doesn't get scratched and it won't take much to roll those nubs over.

So you need to tap the horn button with a hammer? How do you bend the center punch over the studs? Is it adjusted properly before you tap it in?

Also how do you know it is in the proper place before the horn is tapped in?

What does it mean to use a center punch larger than the studs??

Is it the same for all C-3 years?

Thanx for the help-

The cast horn outer portion has rivets made into it. You lay the emblem over the rivets, then lay the retainer of top the emblem. Once you have this done you need to brad over the rivets with a punch and then tap them down with a ball peen hammer.
