I just purchased a bendpack HD 7P off of craigslist. I need to go disassemble it and then reinstall it. Looking for some advice on how long it should take and how big a project this is?
I installed mine with my son and a friend. The first thing I would do is go to the Bend Pac website and down load the assembly instructions. Read them a few times. I had someone pick mine up at the depot and delivered to my home. We used an engine hoist to get it off the trailer. You could probably rent a U-Hall truck with a few friends to get it to your home. We also used a few car dollies to roll the large parts into position. I have a 4" slab and did not have any problems. You will need an air compressor to disengage the air locks and a 220 volt line for the motor. The install took less than a day and if you are mechanically inclined and can follow the instructions, you should not have a problem. Lastly, I purchased a set of aluminum ramps and ditched the steel ramps that came with the lift. Your back will thank you. Jerry
I just put a hd9 in my garage. It took me two days to install it. With a few friends I had the main heavy parts all installed. The second day was running the cables and adjusting everything. Pulling it apart should not be too bad, but you will need help. I also recommend labeling everything as the cables will all be different lengths.
