To make a long story short, smoke in the cockpit isn't good. Had it happen the other day and, with help, decided to rewire the entire dash. We got the steering column, both driver/pax dashes, gauge panel and center console out. I am familiar with the wiring and know where everything goes, but haven't had the entire dash apart at one time. Until now. My help left and I'm on my own putting it back together. I have the fuse box installed and that's about it. I sure would like some direction on and tips on how to proceed. BTW, it's a '74 convertible, no A/C, sbc, 4spd. Thanks in advance and have a great weekend, Bill
Get your speedo/tach dash panel installed....and the wiring proper routed so you can the install your steering column.
Not knowing if you have the center console removed or not etc..it is hard to comment any further.

Thanks for the reply. I've reinstalled the center console. (The harness has a clip that sets the harness in a fixed position in the console.) I guess what I'm looking for is: How the he!! do you install the drivers dash??? Steering column first or after the dash? I just spent 2 hours and accomplished nothing! Matter of fact, two of the led bulbs popped out in the speedo and I had to take the dash back out, to retrieve the bulbs! FRUSTRATING!!!!! Please excuse the rant. Have a wonnerful weekend, Bill
Very sorry for not replying sooner. Just came in from the garage. MrJlr, a forum member, gave them to me a couple of years ago. No idea make, model. I'll be going back to work on the dash in a few minutes and will see if I can identify. For me, they work great. Not dimmable, but that doesn't matter to me. Will revert later. Have a great weekend, Bill
