Default Rear bumper pads

How do I remove the rear bumper "pads" prior to painting? I'm talking about the black pads on right and left side of bumper. I've seen those that were taped for painting and they didn't look good so I want to remove mine. Thanks in advance!

Errrrrrrr, they don't come off. They are molded into the bumper. They get painted separately or some just paint them body color. I hate them myself. When I get around to painting my Pace, I am going with the ZR1 bumper. I have seen one on a local Vette and it looks good! :yesnod:

Hey Bobby,
I know that's not what you wanted to hear so I'll make you a deal... you paint the white and I'll bring over the masking tape and black paint to take care of the bumber pads for you.
