Default Testing rebuild heads

I have just about finished porting and polishing one of the new Torquers. I want to be sure the valve seats are nice and tight- I have a very slight scuff on one. I heard that once the head is assembled, less seals you can use kerosene to fill the chamber and see if it leaks into the runner. Is this the best way to do it and is kerosene the best liquid to use? Would water work for example? I'm going to lap the seats with a AAA grade compound to clean up that scuff.

if it has a good pattern after lapping you are done. Mine were light in 2 spots on the E valve and took 50 miles to break in. Ran awful first 20 miles
