74 distriubutor

Will a full size HEI distributor fit against the firewall, and under the shield in 454 74 corvette?

or do i need the small cap?

You can use the large cap if you use the shield from a 75 that is when they stared to use HEI or you will have to use the small head to use your stock shield. You could also use Pertronix ignition using your stock distributor to do away with the point and condenser that is what I am using in my 72
