I have Deltaflow 50's on my CE. They are longer and thicker than stock. Real hard to tuck them up there. You will also have to get new turndowns made. I think you can see them hinging low in my sig pic, and they are as high as I could get them

I have the Flowmaster Delta 50's, which were installed with no problem. They do hang a little lower. This link has various pictures as well as a sound clip.

I installed Walker Dynomax on my 68, great no-mod fit. Fairly quiet at idle, much louder when I get on it. Still wish it sounded a bit more throaty.

I've got the 40 series delta flow (2 chamber) on my 1980 and they look and sound awesome. Check out my site for pics:
http://vettesite.com/1980vette.asp?mypage=exhaust

The 40 series are smaller and will fit better with 2.5" pipe but the are loud and create internal resonance. The 50 series are bigger and it would be tough to fit them with 2.5" pipe. You could use 2.25" pipe and the 50's may work. Get the H pipe to increase performance and reduce that raspy sound.

I have the 50 series and they tuck up better than the stock mufflers. It all depends on who installs them. I have seen some pretty lousy jobs and some real good ones. The 50s will fit almost horizontal to the ground if the pipes are bent right.
