Picked up a 14" triangle air cleaner today for my bone-stock '77
The air cleaner is slightly too tall.
The element is 3 inches tall--I think a 2.25 or 2.5" would work out just fine, but I cannot seem to find anyone that makes a generic triangle filter that is not 3"?
I'd suggest finding a CHEAP 14" round 2-2 1/2" filter and see if that can be reformed to fit the triangle air cleaner. The circumference of a 14" round filter is about the same as a 14" triangle so it might work. (that's why I suggest a CHEAP filter to see if it works) I have actually done this with a different setup and it worked great. Have a great weekend, Bill

I appreciate it--I'll give it a whirl...hopefully I'll be able to get it to work out...

I went ahead and tried resizing my triangle air filter. Didn't turn out too bad. Cut off the top 1/2", placed the uncut rubber boarder in the base and the cut portion under the top. Tightened the top on and there is plenty of clearance. I'm gonna run it for a while and will amend this post if anything bad happens. BTW, any possibility of seeing any of y'all at the Abbeville Spring Festival? Heading up there this weekend. Have a great week, Bill
