Have a 75 with a Quad. After car has run a while it will start cutting out it died on me once. I changed a couple fuel filters and it seems to be getting gas it so far has started back up ok if the coil or module were heating up would this cause this? Where to start troubleshooting so far new cap ,wires, plugs ,fuel pump and s hose which were changed due to failure or leaks

A bad ignition module or coil can do this.

"Cutting out" would indicate an intermittent ignition failure and the most likely cause would be a failing ignition module. And when it comes to buying new ignition modules only buy the best brand names because anything cheaper will be a big mistake. Another cause of an ignition failure is a bad connection at the module. You may have to squish the female terminals a bit so the module's male spade terminals plug in nice and firmly; ensuring a good connection.
