Default OK - Some will cringe!

But don't cringe too much. I bought a pair of beat up panels on Kijiji and turned one into a bike rack. It's going to be real handy for when I'm dropping the car off to get some work done. Don't need anyone to pick me up!

The aluminum track is removable so the panel can still go in the back.

Don't forget you have a bike up there and drive under a low clearance door.

No, I wont cringe. I think you did well; you took a beater set of roofs and made them useful.

@ Wendellp601....

Yeah, I've done that too. But not with a bike that nice, and not with that amount of damage. I was lucky!

I'm a cyclist also and this is a good idea. Why not do this. Just take the bike off before leaving or entering the garage.
BTW. Nice ride, the bike that is!

It just about clears the door, but unfortunately it does not.

I like the glass tops better, so good use of faded fiberglass tops. If it was me I might even rattle can flat or matt black them.

I like it a lot, very well done. I was wondering how I was going to get my road bike on my 68. I have an extra set of t-top panels that I can work with, thanks for the idea!

I have to cringe at how the aluminum bits were hacked.

I used to take off the front wheel, and put my bike in the back of my '80, it was a mountain bike so it might have been a bit smaller
