1973 C3 Brake Issues
Initially, I started by removing and replacing the master cylinder and as it was out, I started to check all of the brakes and calipers.
I started with the rear tires off and found the "newer" calipers could use some help as the pistons had a fair amount of grinding. I replaced the rear calipers and pads and moved to the front.
The front, as it turns out, was about as bad as you can imagine. The pads looked and felt like a sponge glued onto a piece of metal and fell apart as you touched it.
The calipers were not much better and some pistons were completes stuck.
So, after replacing ever piece of the system besides the hard lines, prop valve and rotors, I have stopping power!
Mystery solved and lessons learned. Always start with the basics people...
