Default No fuel

I need some help with my 1982 Crossfire. My check engine light came on a couple of days before but I didn't get a chance to pull the codes. The day before it died but restarted. Then it died and would not start. I changed out the distributor to a MSD distributor as before when it would not start I could wiggle the wires going to the module and it would start. I jumped the wires 1 and 3 and 2 and 4 to bypass the spark control. I am getting no fuel from the injectors. I have power to the injectors, but when I check them with a noid light it does not light. the fuses are good to the injectors, to the computer, the 20 amp fuse by the battery. The ECM has been changed out looks like quite awhile ago. It has at least 10 psi where the fuel comes in the front throttle body. It will start if you spray carb cleaner in it. The ground to the ECM is good. I am at a loss as to what to check next.

Default Fuel Pump Relay

The fuel pump relay used in the 82's are good for about 90,000 to 100,000 and then they'll start failing intermittently. So if you have anywhere near those miles you'd be better off replacing that relay before it leaves you stranded alongside the highway.

The 82's have a 25 micron fuel filter mounted on the frame rail right under the passenger's feet and it needs to be replaced every 25,000 miles because they will plug up.

No fuel at the injectors could be caused by an empty tank (duh) or a failing relay so make sure the tank is at least 1/4 full.

You can power the fuel pump relay using a little 4-amp trickle charger by simply supplying power to the hot lead going to the fuel pump. Pull the tank's gas cap and the rubber overfull shield and you can find the wires. Power the pump using the trickle charger and see if it'll start and continue running.

It takes oil pressure to power the fuel pump relay so the oil pressure sender next to the HEI could be failing to send power to the relay or the connection has come loose.

Thanks I'll change the fuel filter, as for the fuel pump relay I couldn't find one anywhere they all say discontinued I bought one at work for a 1984 and the pigtail. I will try that.

Thanks everyone for your help. I put a stock distributor back in it and it started. You can not use a 4 pin module distributor. It does not send a signal to fire the injectors. The guys at the shop told me wrong.
