HI MEN,i AM WANTING TO PUT A X-PIPE ON MY 76 STINGRAY.BUT I AM DISABLED AND IT IS VERY HARD FOR ME TO GET DOWN AND GET THE MEASUREMENTS I NEED TO BUY THE CORRECT WIDTH X-PIPE FOR HER.THE CLOSEST I WAS ABLE TO GET WAS 12 INCHES WIDE TO GO THROUGH THE CROSSMEMBER.CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF I'M CLOSE ON THIS MEASUREMENT? Get the car up on a lift to measure the diameter of the exhaust pipes stock was 2" but a car this old may have been changed out to larger pipes. We used 2 1/2" X pipe from Jegs, was not expensive, had a muffler shop weld it in.
