I bought these a long time ago am I suppose to break the brass one or is this not correct part?
Some of the cars didn't have the pass through connector so yes.. you'll have to take a set of side cutters and cut the length down. Those are the imported switches so i'd test them before I installed them.. and I would also consider just rebuilding your original switches... I did a video on how to do this and it's very easy and will produce you a switch that'll last another 30 years vs. one that will last a year.

I don't have the pass thru. I am missing that switch all that was there were the contact points. I did clean up the other one works fine. I bought this switch probably 10 years ago I think from Willcox. Maybe C C

It doesn't look crimped good enough... you might try pushing upward on the pcb and then steak it over a bit more.
If the pcb moves in and out it'll cause the switch to be loose. The issue with the old reproduction switches is that plate would be loose and then you don't have enough tension on the contacts to the button. I've actually taken the reproductions apart and bent the contact arms to tighten them up... just like rebuilding the original switch.
