Default 74 454 headers

I have a pair of Hooker competition headers 3' collectors on them

It looks as if the clutch cross shaft Z bar will hit the headers.

I was under the impression that these should fit the car.

Does anyone have a thought on this?

Or

Has anyone installed these on their car before?

BB headers (if correct part number for 63-82 vette) WILL clear the Z bar. I had to dimple at the steering box and idler arm.

Is it possible that they are for another chassis?

you do realize you have to remove the clutch linkage, install the headers, and then reinsert the z-bar through the tubes?
