i recently bought a '76 L82, I TOLD MY WIFE THAT IT WOULD BE ALOT OF FUN TO "REHAB" WHOA... WE'VE HAD IT 3 MONTHS AND PROBABLY $1500.00
LATER, IN :cry :U SHE'S STARTING TO SMELL ME. I'LL KEEP THE FAITH AND CONTINUE TO "WORK-IT" BECAUSE IT LOOKS GREAT AND THE ATTENTION IS WORTH THE EFFORT ;) ;) [IMG][/IMG]
Welcome to the forum. I have put about $1500 in my 78 in the past year. I could have spent more, I just drive more than I work! I really do enjoy both though.
Amazing how fast the dollars add up. Besides my carpet set, fan clutch and a pair of seats I haven't spent over $100 on any single item. Lots of .05's and .10's.
When your not working on it or driving it enjoy the forum. Lots to be learned here, and many  too.
See I think that's a problem a lot of folks have. Don't think of it as a job you have to finish...totally. It's a hobby. Too me a car is never really really DONE. I think if I keep this car and keep working on it for 15 years, it will never be done. Het how about rack and pinion? C4 suspention? A 6 seed? put in H.U.D.? An aluminum blg block? There's always SOMETHING else. Un less your one of those stock happy (no immagination of your own) types. Sorry NCRS guys just a strong difference in opinion. :boxing

Re: IT'S HARD TO BE COOL (HEARTBEATUSA)
... 3 months and probably $1500.00 ...
Yea, thats about right. I'm at 3 years and $21K. About another year at this $$ rate and then I'll be moving up to the higher performance equipment. See what you have to look forward to.
Every boy needs some money pits. Corvettes count as 2.
