Temp guage problem
I had a good working temp guage. When I was removing the old rusty headers I broke off the small tang at the end of the sender unit where the wire mounts on to. I put another sender unit in and connected up the wire. No joy. I tried a second one and again no joy. Putting 12 volts thru the wire doesnt make the guage move and I doesnt look like the temp sender unit has a fuse although I have checked fuse box looking for a blown one. Bitch of a location for a fuse box though !! Any ideas ?? [IMG][/IMG] :mad

You have not stated the year of your car but here is info for 1979. The coolant gauge is part of the gauge cluster package and is on a 10-amp circuit. The pic shows the fuse location.
