Model year? It may go to the brake pressure differential switch behind it in the first pic.

Oil pressure sensor just above the oil filter. 77 uses a blue wire for it.
The thing that makes me think 77 is that there's no shift interlock cable, 77 was the first year without it and 78 and up have a different color wire. Most years use a tan wire for the brake failure light.

1976 blue wire is the oil pressure sender!
