Help: 1980 Corvette interior light:
I had to do some work under the dash on the drivers side, and one of the things I had to remove/take off was the interior light that mounts underneath. Putting everything back together, I don't remember where it mounts, or what it mounts to. It's the light just under the steering wheel, somewhere.. The light on the passenger side mounts to a small metal bracket which is mounted against the side interior wall under the dash/glove box. I looked in my Shop Manual and my Assembly Instruction Manual, but I can't found a page that shows exactly how or where it mounts. I want to put it back in it's correct location. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for trying to help Mike. But I kinda knew it mounted somewhere underneath there and possibly on the backside as you said. But WHERE? I'm not seeing any holes or anything else that looks like the plastic mounting light clips would attach to.
I was hoping for someone with a 1980 to take a peek on their car. Thanks again.

The lamp mounts in the backside of the dash pad... I just walked out to my car and took a picture for you... give me a second and I'll post it.
