Rear compartment door rivet installation
Do I have to smash them, or something like that, once in place?.

The rivets in your link are known as flat head soft aluminum rivets.
They were set at the factory using a fitting in the end of an air hammer.
If you have access to such a tool you can set them that way too.
If you don't, you can use a small tool similar to a large 'nail set' and a hammer.
In either case the flat end of the rivet must be 'bucked', (firmly held in place), while the rivet is being 'set'. If the access allows it the head of a sledge hammer works well as a 'buck'.
Good Luck!

Alan
