I believe the original harmonic damper used on 68 327/300 engines was 6" in diameter and 1-1/4" thick.
I believe the damper surface typically has one line scribed into it to indicate tdc.

found on the net mathematics for sizing you damper. If you need a size for timing tape. measure circumference of your damper . Mine was a little over 21 inches. So I multiplied 6.75 x 3.1416 =21.2. So my damper is 6.75 inches .Many chevy damper were different sizes from 5.75 to 8.0 . 3.1416 is the key to finding the size.
