I noticed that my drivers door droops. It open and closes fine but I can lift the bottom back of the door up just a hair. It does sit a bit down on the back edge when closed. It appears as though I have plenty of space on the top/front edge to raise the bottom hinge a bit.
Can I just add a shim to the bottom hinge to level it out?

Hinge pin and bushings should solve your issue. The rear of the door should not have any play up or down if the pins and bushings are good. Inspect there rear striker and see if its wearing, if so then for sure your pins and bushings are the issue.
