You ~could~ convert to a newer GM ECM which allows easier tuning and keeps the Crossfire intake. A DynamicEFI upgraded ECM would allow you to flash tune the EFI system. You more or less just re-terminate the ECM wiring for new connectors to fit the new ECM.

Then, do some modifications that add airflow.

My suggestion is stay far away. Get Holley. I've heard nothing but good things about their units.
had not heard of problems.Thats to bad had thought they were good.I seen the holly on tv that looks good .At least now we have more options.

Rebulding the rear including new ring/pinion was about $1000 (http://www.vtechcorvette.com/services.html)

On top of that, you must recalibrate the throttlebodies. See here for instructions on how to build the Water Manometer and do the actual job: http://www.thecubestudio.com/Crossfi...yBalancing.htm

Of course you'll need the win/aldl software - http://winaldl.joby.se/
What type of fuel system did you go with??

One thing that has not been mentioned here is, how many miles does this engine have on it? Upping the compression on an older engine could mean disaster. One good romp and rods can go flying etc. i have seen this more times that I care to mention.

Also do you have headers and true dual exhaust? I am not trying to say you shouldn't do any of the things mentioned, but you mentioned KISS. Heads and a cam is not KISS in my book. Exhaust, roller rockers and new intake w/EFI is. Heads are simple, cam is a PITA to replace, too much has to come apart to get it in. JMHO.

Good luck in what ever you decide.

Thanks Skybolt. This was the type of info I was needing. You are right on engine coming apart. Engine shows 85k miles. Engine will be pulled and rebuilt. Just when I start going back together with it would like to change things. When I mentioned KISS it, I meaning not have to start changing out mounting components and refitting the engine back in the compartment. I read some horror stories on this happening spending a lot of money and it still not be right.
