I replaced it with a brass one and put a drop of glue on the post to help retain it there. (Where clip could go)
If the clip was no larger than the bushing, it should work fine.

Good idea! I have some good glue and a dab will do very well. I did see a brass one in a parts kit offered by one of the Vette vendors.
Good point about the clip. I couldn't find a clip that small. Went through my e clips and it was a no go!
