I've been hanging out in Florida bars too long... it carries over to my tech posts - I can't help myself..!
No - I've never tried the Omni products, so I can't make any intelligent comment on them. Not that that's stopped me from making any other comments....
Lars.
You need to get back to Colorado, where the thin air won't cloud your replies..
As for the Omni paint. I have used it twice (on my Jeep), if you want a rookie's opnion. I really liked it, flowed real well, and did a fine job of turning my CJ red.....
I used Omni paint on a Fairlane last year .It was black single stage .Sprayed beautiful but it seemed to stay soft ,I had to be careful during the buffing stage .I also noticed it is never chemically resistant ,if you spill gas on it ,it might come off.But the car turned out beautiful and has won a few shows.

If you paint the car yourself, using good quality products and a two-stage finish coat (base/clear system), you'll wrap up about $1200 in paint, materials, sand paper, solvents, primers, tape, etc. etc.
