This is rather amazing.
I removed the Column for servicing, looked up, and found this.
Our buddy Bubba was in here, after the fire.
It's amazing because I drove this car for about 6,000 miles and never smelled a whiff of smoke, with all signals and horn working. Can't be worse than a burn job on an A-6.
While firmly in the "count your lucky stars" camp, I'll also so that it might not be as terrible as it looks. The first thing is to find out what that black w/white stripe connection is all about.
Then check end connectors replacing where necessary. You can easily find replacement connectors to replace those inside the plastic bodies. Some nicely interwoven and soldered splices (perhaps replacing small sections) with transparent or matching color heat shrink tubing will do wonders for much of that without having to go to the expense of a replacement harness.
Looks pretty standard. I would bet that about half the guys on here found that or worse under their dashes. Bubba is like Santa, he has brought a little magic everywhere.
