Steeroids R&P and Headers
Had a few minutes today and called Speed Direct in Santos, Tx re some recent threads items:
1. Fit: according to SD, Steeroids will fit any header that is similar to Walker Dynomax or Hooker Comps. Steeroids will not fit with Hooker headers with side pipes.
2 Clearance: No problem with clearance with VBP front transverse leaf spring.
3. Adjustment: The steeroids system has a bearing that requires adjustment for optimum service. I didn't quite understand this since I haven't tried to install one yet.
4. Brackets: I asked about CF reports of brackets not fitting and looseness. SD said that when completely installed, the system was tight.
5. QC: About 100 units have been sold to date and the only major problem reported is the no fit situation with outside pipes mentioned above.
The Tech I talked to was very pleasant and eager to help.

Thanks for finding out the facts! Makes that Paul Newman C4 frame conversion even more desireable. How about a modified LS6 with headers and sidepipes all mounted on a frame with C4 suspension, brakes and rack & pinion steering?
Yes, I'm saving my money! :D :D
