I had a new electric window motor installed on my passenger side door. Now when I close the door with the window closed, the top edge of the glass hits the edge of the t-top weatherstrip and therefore will not close flat. Is there a way to adjust the window so that it does not go up that high??
Re: Side window adjustment help please!!! (VettePower)
Yes, but you have to take off the door panels. There should be a stop on one or both of the rails that adjusts that dimension. If you start overadjusting it will turn into a big job so try to locate the correct stop first and don't mess with the rest. There are detailed insrtructions in the AIM and this article may help as well: http://www.71corvette.com/wt.html

Get this adjusted correctly immediately. You will chip your window glass very soon if you don't. I chipped mine this way!!
I would even suggest putting some tacky duct tape along the edge of your window just to keep this from happening if you forget to roll the window down a tad before you or more likely someone else shuts the door. Yes tacky, ugly, Bubba, whatever you like, but you will save your glass in the meantime and the ridicule you may get will remind you to get it done soon.
