Ok update on my no fuel problem. We got the distributor connected right cause I realized the ecm wire wasn't connected to the inside.... Opps!! Lol and I still had the problem of no fuel getting to the injectors. Well it turned over and started for one second when we put fuel into the injectors manually. Well we kept cranking and cranking and we finally got fuel going to the drivers side throttle body.. Yet the passenger side doesn't have any coming out.... What do y'all suggest? Yes both have almost 4.0 of resistance going through both and all fuses are good. Could it be a clogged injector? And if so where do I get a new gasket kit for it for when I take it apart it won't leak? Please help! I'm one injector away from MAYBE finally getting it to start!!
you'll need a fuel pressure gauge and a way to splice into the line. HF sells a kit that has hoses fittings, tee's etc. along with the gauge. I don't believe the early crossfire's had a test Schrader valve like we are used to on modern FI engines.
Ok well the noid light is lighting up when turning over. I just replaced the fuel relay for kicks and giggles. I took the injector out and it had fuel squirt out so I know it's getting fuel. Next is the injector how do I test that? Or should I just replace it? There is a part number for a front and rear injector is the passenger side one the front one?
yes the passenger side is the front one.The injectors are different from front to back but you can switch them to see if it works. The car may not run perfect but you can tell if its the injector bad or not.replaceing injectors after 75000 miles is a good idea .
you'll have to check the wiring diagram to be sure, as I don't recall off the top of my head that specific system's wiring, but, generally an injector needs 5v dc to open. USUALLY (but double check), they are fed constant +5v DC and the ground (technically common) is what is switched by the ECM to open the injector.
a D battery is only 1.5v so it would likely not do anything...
swap the injectors and see if you can get fuel to spray out of them applying 12v.
