So, if switching from 225/70/R15 to 255/60/R15, are the front and wheel alignment specifications changed in any way? I noticed that later model C3's show slightly different alignment numbers, but not sure if that is related to the option 255 tires, or other factory changes in the later years?

Depending on what model year's specs that you are comparing, I could see where they changed, when the cars switched to radial tires. The radials usually have less rolling resistance, therefore, a change in the toe-in setting.
I guess since these specs don't distinguish between the size tires installed, I guess it doesn't matter, but that was my question.
In all honesty, the 255/60s MIGHT have a tad more rolling resistance than a 225/70, so you might be able to compensate with MAYBE .02* more static toe-in, but I wouldn't worry too much. I would think that your intended driving style, ie. "cruiser" compared to "charger" would be a greater consideration.
