Rear Hub Runout
I replaced my rear wheel bearings a couple of years ago with Van Steel rebuilts. I have a really bad pulsation from the rear and I see the right rear hub has runout of about .030. Is there any way to correct this without replacing the rear wheel bearing assembly?

Is this all run out or is there bearing end play as well? If it is all run out, I would start by removing the rotor and make sure the mating surfaces of the axle flange and rotor are clean and smooth. Then recheck runout, you can re-index the rotor and recheck, although this will block the adjuster hole for the parking brake. There are tapered shims available, although .030" is a lot.
