Thought I Had A Fire Today
I had smoke coming out from under the hood today. When my a/c compressor is on was the only time it would smoke. Turns out the inner a arm flap was being sucked up to the compressor when the a/c was on. It was melting the flap. Talk about a weird problem?

Hi SR,
Really only 2 'bad' words you don't want to have to use when talking about an old Corvette….. 'fire!' and 'telephone pole'.
Regards,
Alan
Was the inner end of the 'flap' tucked into the a-arm opening?

Did you have to change your shorts? I probably would have had to.

Alan - I have just put some new control arms on the car. Of course I didn't tuck the flaps in when I finished. My bad for sure.
