Looking for an experienced q-jet person. Its about my boat, not about my vette, but since I find knowledgeable folks here, I need some confirmation.
Had my q-jets rebuilt on my boat. It starts poor, like it is over rich (flooded). I backed down the low idle mixture screws and it improved, but they are bottomed out. I beleive the floats are set to high.
Logical conclusion?
If there is a better forum to get q-jet answeres, please point me there.
I have been told there is a difference between automotive and marine carbs. I believe it has to do with baffles and vent systems in the marine version due to the excessive motion in marine use.
