I took the steering wheel off to fix horn and when I put back it is no longer in the same position. Is there only one way to put it back? I tried many times but can't get it to old position. Also had new tires installed not sure if it needs a wheel alignment that could cause steering wheel location.
Was the steering centered when you took off the wheel? If not, why not?
There are 6 ways to install the steering wheel; but only one of them is 'correct'. If the steering is centered and the steering shaft has the index mark (on the outer end of the shaft) in the 12 o'clock position, then you should install the wheel with the bottom spoke pointed directly downward.
It could well be that the wheel was not properly indexed when you took it off.
