I have thought of doing something similar, but the thing that stops me from doing this is not what I see on the front, but the problems with the connections behind it all. The factory setup is nice and clean, what did you do behind all the gauges that isn't a mess of non factory connections and wire splices.
I have yet to see a gauge swap that doesn't look like a mess of wires.
(Again, I'd SO like to see a set of these with a plate over "Autometer" that had a Corvette logo; those look great, but with "Autometer" gone and a Corvette logo, they'd look REALLY great, IMO.)

Now mine is more custom dash w/ mostly stock gauges- but going to the junkyard you can find some nice connectors and make your own harness- then pretty up the wires-
Here's my tach & speedo- even added and extra plug so the aftermarket tach is completely removable.
Here's the harness for the center gauges and the console-
Nice gauges.
I see you have the peeling chrome lines on your console pieces. I cleaned mime off pretty easily to an all black plastic look using a plastic cleaner polish/fine scratch remover, and not planning on repainting them on.
