Well first you need to figure out what caused the link to burn.
NO way would I just twist them together and I've got a local customer here that learned that the hard way. After he restored his interior and then painted the car it was road ready. Someone bypass the fuse link at the firewall, the electrical tape bubba used to do this came off and this hot wire shorted against his brake line cooking every harness in the car front to rear before he could get the battery disconnected. That fuse link is there to prevent further damage to other parts of the car so it is very important you make this repair.
You can buy fuse-able link at your local parts house and then make the appropriate connection.

Model year? C3s rarely have an inline fuse. Are you possibly referring to fusible links?

Yes i meant fusible links. I'm also curious on adding a regular fuse? I have already fixed the link at the horn relay. I used a fusible link. I just used a female crimp to attach the leads on either side of the crimp. The link by the firewall I will solder together. Mainly because those double female crimps come in one size. The leads I'm protecting are bigger and the link is pretty thin and I dnt want it poppin out. I'll just reuse the insulator to protect the solder.
