Left front brake when applied does not back off, took pads out and no cylinders are stuck all are easy to move, also bled the brakes, if driving
it gets very hot then almost impossible to move, after setting it loosens up
Any suggestions??
replace the brake hose as it sounds like it is coming apart inside and not letting the fluid come back to the MC. i have heard of corvettes catching on fire from stuck brake.:chevy
Try the hose first, but if that doesn't work it's probably time for a new caliper. A guy DROVE a '78 vette into the garage where I used to work with a caliper that would lock then unlock about every 15 feet , but I guess it had only started a couple of blocks away. We put in a new caliper on it was as good as new.
the inner liner of the hose gets a crack in it and the 2000/3000# of line pressure gets in behind the inner liner and causes the liner to close and acts line a check valve not allowing the pressure below this to release when you get off the pedal. the brakes drag and sometimes get hot enought to set the grease on fire. :chevy
