OP: How many miles on your oil? Just curious if the PCV system is inhaling raw gas fumes from the hot oil, bumping up the HC levels.
Also, I'm curious if putting in a couple gallons of E85 into the tank would add enough extra oxygen into the combustion process to reduce the HC level.

Actually....that is about to start back up. One upside to this covid mess is its slowing me down enough to start work on that project again. You need to swing by the warehouse and check out whats going on over there.
Just starting to rebuild the LS now....not a full tear down. Just taking the heads off and inspecting to start.
Fuel lines and fuel pump next. Im going to start a thread on this shortly.
But while Im doing that, was hoping to drive this turd a bit.

Your call. I would just non op it and do the change over. If you need stuff, I have a spare EGR, and I have the numbers for the TVS switches and such. The solenoids that run the mess are unobtainium.
