More of a street cam with some high rpm power. What does your car use for exhaust system and what is your trans/rear gearing?

It's a 4 spd with 2 1/2 chambered exhaust and stock gear on the rear. I assume 3.36 or close there to.

You need some more L/S for a "streeter"? My opinion only.

We actually use a high number of the OEM L-82 cams, these deliver excellent street manners and performance.

Thanks, Gary in N.Y.

P.S. On many of these type builds we simply use "marine" grind cams if it becomes a "book-grind" (stocking part number) cam.

This cam appears to be just a step up from the L 82 cam or so I thought.

Not sure if intk c/l of 106 is to much. I would run a dynamic compression ratio calc first. Also don't know if you're valve springs will handle 0.480" lift?

Other than that the added exh duration will help your exh and the added lift will add torque.

On that cam I would use 1.6 rockers on the intakes only - if I could. This should help move the intk closing/reduce dyn comp and add more torque.

Good luck and hope this helps.

Using factory finned covers don't know if 1.6 rockers will fit them??

Sometimes extra thick vlv cover gaskets will give enough clearance.

I would think stick compression (which I don't know for the l46) if it's 8.5 to 1 advertised by gm, then the 106 lsa would help some. Like you, i think it needs headers. But if you aren't going headers the buy a set of the 2.5" rams horns like these

https://m.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g9200n

For better flow then the stock sized manifolds, won't compete with good headers, but definently flow better than what came with it. This also puts the option to run 2.5" duals and a good straight through muffler.

Also if you go this route, buy the valve springs with it.

The L46 engine is shown to be 350HP with 11 to 1 CR...does have domed pistons.
