Temp gauge ceramic bridge
When I found this I just reinstalled in two pieces without issue....does it just insulate?
I've heard it referred as a ceramic resistor, but this makes no sense.
I guess my question is more about the purpose of the white ceramic bridge above the resistor. Mine is broken in half but "in place". Bugs me that its broken, but the gauge seems to work fine.
My guess is that it isolates terminals and does nothing more than that.

- Holds the plug terminals at the correct height and orientation for the plug
- Insulates the terminals from the gauge cluster housing (note that the studs are insulated by plastic right where they come through the cluster holes)
- Serves as a heat sink for the wire wound resistor
