Default Ricer convention

Went out to get something to eat and passed by a car wash and there they were, about 15 ricers gathering like a group of cockroaches in the night under the lights. They all had there little neon or whatever those LED lights are glowing like beady eyes in the night. To bad I didn't have any raid on me so I could exterminate them   They all did look and take note as the vette drove by. :D :D

In my area they all hang around car washes too. Mostly they have Eclipses and Civics with fart pipes and loud stereo systems and they sit around trying to show off for the girls who drive by.

Amazing how no matter where you are in the country they hang out at the same places. It must be because the places are untended and open at night and the police run them out of parking lots of businesses that are open and have a manager on duty.

This stuff always brings to mind a scary thought...what's the hot collectible car going to look like in 30 years? We may be out numbered! I would like to think vettes will always be on top. I envision shows with great classics and added amongst the crowd a PT cruiser with a worthy engine to go with the look. A truck that looks and sounds like work horse worthy of the name full size truck, hot corvettes. For some reason I just know there will be a FORD explorer amongst the bunch and someone will go "cooool!"

My defenition of a ricer is any idiot that tries to make a compact car more than it really is,usually by adding the biggest spoilers, ground effects, lights and usually looks like he keeps the local sign shop working overtime.

Car wash places? Down here they congregate in front of / around fast food places that are open late. (wendy's, jack in the box, etc). my friends and i usually end up driving past them really slow and laughing really loud.

(the speed is a function to make sure the order is right, not that we actually care about any of the cars there.)
