Browsing the forum I saw that very few people have stock Vettes. My dad's Vette is pretty much stock except for the double roller timing chain with all steel gears, and a shift kit. How many people have a completely stock or pretty much stock Vette?
72
Shift kit in tranny
Pertronix and MSD Ignition
Headers
2 1/2 inch pipes
Autometer gauges
Edelbrock intake and carb
Edelbrock IAS shocks
new crate motor (base model)
I consider those upogrades, not really performance.
My Vert is stock with ~34K miles...except for wheels, tires, rear struts, tail lights and stereo behind the seats (the dash is untouched), alternator and starter. Except for the alternator and starter all the original parts have been cleaned and stored.
I've thought about making serious changes but this car has been unmolested for so long I just can't bring myself to do it. I'll use my C5 to cure my "mod fever".
my wifes 69 coupe, 350,300hp auto, very slight head work, stock q-jet, 350hp cam, headers, and cd player but very stock, numbers intake etc.
81 is wild engine wise, and 78 has a stock 91 crate engine.
When I bought my car 10+ years ago it was pretty much bone stock numbers match everything and was just in need of cosmetics
But a base motor 72 coupe after a while is  so I have transformed it over the years to a fun street toy that now I think has the performance to match it's looks
