I have a 1976 Stingray. Just recently the left power window is stuck half open. It will go up a couple of inches or down a couple of inches. I'm hoping it needs an adjustement and not a new motor. I'm a novice at working on corvettes and need some help.
1, How do I get the door panel off. I presume there is a clip on the locking ****. Not sure how to get it off?
2, Any ideas on what may be keeping the window from operating properly?
Sorry that these are basic questions but I will appreciate any help.
Re: Door panel removal and power window help needed (dacarlto)
There is a u shaped clip holding the lock Kob same as any GM window crank. There is a special tool to get this off ,I have seen them at part stores .A small screwdriver might work.As far as the Window motor ,try taking it out and greasing the gears and cleaning connections. If that dont work ,start pricing a new one .Dont worry they are not as high as you might think ,but you must shop around!!
