shifter counsel shifter
why does some counsel shifters for a 1973 corvette withac seem to come with chrome on the shifter plate and others for this same year come in black.i have both,but would like to know which one would be properly for the car i have.

The shift plates for with or without air should be trimmed out exactly the same. The face finish should be a semi gloss black and the upper edges should be chrome. To paint these we use the 431920 dye from our site. The only issue you'll have painting them is trimming the edges. We let the paint dry, then trim the edges off with an exact o knife.
