Damn, I need to find a way to rip off riceboys too!
I was in the garage the other day and a guy with a Honda Civic came in with some powder coated headers to be put on his high performance Honda, so I was lending a hand in there working on some other stuff and decided to see what these headers were all about. The kid claimed a 10hp increase with these new prettty powder coated headers he bought online. So, after removing the stock headers, I compared the two and the powder coated ones were just that... powder coated stock headers!
I felt bad so I told the kid, "hey kid, these headers are stock headers that are powder coated, that's all." He claimed up and down that they were different and that his buddies all have them and it makes them go FAST... :bs so they installed them and charged him accordingly.
After that day, I have seriously thought of getting stock Honda parts powder coated and sell them on Ebay for a premium performance price.
Of course, I have this concience thing that keeps getting in the way. Damn morals!!!

Re: Ebay funny (Twinnie)
Oh now that is precious.
This sounds like something I would make up...
... in other words, it will take in more air, and then add more fuel to compensate for the extra air coming in, thus, producing more power and advancing timing 1 to 2 degrees. Because the engine is creating more power, it will need more fuel; so the fuel economy on the car will increase 1 to 2 miles per gallon (MPG), but definitely not more than 2 MPG.
When the ECU reads this, it lean out the air/fuel mixture—in other words, it will take in more air, and then add more fuel to compensate for the extra air coming in, thus, producing more power and advancing timing 1 to 2 degrees. Because the engine is creating more power, it will need more fuel; so the fuel economy on the car will increase 1 to 2 miles per gallon (MPG) :bs :bs
I guess ricers use a different tuning method than the rest of us....lets see....more air....add more fuel....advance timing....more power....and fuel mileage will increase 1 to 2 MPG???
Hahahaha, the turbo 3000 is a detmar inline fan, I use them in brake cooling ducts :)
Bwahahhahaha
But seriously, we should set up some kind of bizniz, it's clear these kids have more money than brains, can't help em with the brains but taking money from them shouldn't be that hard :) :jester :reddevil
Wow- 9.95 for 20 extra horses!!! That's less than .50 a each (plus postage and handling of course)!!! People have been selling snake oil for hundreds of years- it is human nature to want to believe one can get something for nothing. Very entertaining though.
